RPX485 is a serial line repeater that repeats, regenerates, and functionally isolates the RS-485 serial line.

• •It was designed to allow the creation of very long and complex serial lines, even in simple and complex star configurations, for intrusion detection systems managed by EL.MO. control units from the ETR, NET, TITANIA, and VIDOMO series.
• •Its potential allows for serial line extensions up to 3 km, thanks to the possibility of using up to 2 RPX485 repeaters in cascade, while the possibility of creating star structures ensures exceptional installation flexibility, making the most of the range of RS-485 devices offered by EL.MO. Finally, the functional isolator function allows the serial line to be divided into separate sections in order to exclude a part of it in the event of a short circuit and maintain normal operation on the remaining part.
